“Everything’s An Experience”

Hi, I’m Noah Trotman, a shoe custom designer, triathlete and a student. In the summer of 2019 I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of waterloo.

I began painting shoes when I was in high school as a friend suggested it to me. I did all the research, got the paint and shoes then completed my first pair which were the ‘Oh Canada’ Air Force Ones, totalling about 25 hours from start to finish. After that I did a few more for others and tried different styles of shoes. If you were to ask me what the hardest part is, it would be prepping the shoe and finding a design that works well for the customer but I enjoy every part of it.

As you probably noticed I do also compete in the sport of triathlon, having previously been a long-distance runner. My favourite distance at the time was the half marathon, completing the distance 4 times, along with a marathon in the books. As most endurance athletes are walking liabilities, I was sidelined from injuries in the summer of 2017. I was predominately cross-training by swimming and cycling at the time. When I was given the green light on running I thought I’d give triathlon a go. It was a fun experience and after that I fell in love with the sport.

Thank you for reading. Please explore and enjoy my website and if you see any work that you’re interested in then please send me a message. Oh, and don’t forget – make sure you have a great day!
